Who we are

Three research institutions of the Leibniz Association have joined forces in the GWZ - Humanities Centers Berlin: the Center for General Linguistics (ZAS), the Center for Literary and Cultural Research (ZfL) and the Center for Modern Oriental Studies (ZMO). With currently around 220 employees at our two locations in Berlin, we are one of the leading non-university institutions in the field of the humanities.

The GWZ have a joint administration, which takes on various science management tasks. We are looking to fill a position in the Human Resources department as soon as possible.

MAIN PERSONNEL OFFICER

(CODE NUMBER: AD25-02)

permanent - full-time or part-time - up to E 11 TVöD Bund

Your tasks with us include

  • Preparation and implementation of various personnel measures
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, internship and scholarship agreements
  • Recording and maintenance of personnel data and statistics
  • Contact person for labor and collective bargaining issues and communication of personnel matters at the interfaces of the Executive Board, administration, scientific units and employees
  • Coordination with an external payroll service provider and preparatory payroll accounting
  • Participation in recruitment procedures, onboarding and offboarding and in the further optimization and digitalization of administrative processes

Here is what you should bring along

  • Completed administrative or commercial vocational training or university degree with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area (e.g. economics, communications, administrative sciences or psychology)
  • At least three years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Comprehensive knowledge of labor and collective bargaining law and public service regulations
  • Knowledge and skills in the use of HR software and MS 365 applications
  • Careful, structured and reliable way of working
  • Ability to work in a team, empathy and communication skills
  • strong language skills in German and English
